Job summary

Commure is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Infrastructure team to own the foundational infrastructure and internal developer platform that every engineering team uses. You will design, build, and operate end-to-end across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes fleet, release workflows, and security patterns.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles.
• Experience with public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure) and managed cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and controller-based provisioning.
• Experience with GitOps and progressive delivery (Argo CD, Flux).
• Experience building internal developer platforms with a product mindset.
• Experience with HIPAA and SOC 2 obligations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the cloud foundation across GCP, AWS, and/or Azure as code with Terraform and controllers.
• Run the Kubernetes fleet: lifecycle, upgrades, autoscaling, multi-cluster patterns.
• Design and own internal developer platform: golden-path templates and self-serve tooling.
• Own release and deployment stories with GitOps, canary, and blue-green patterns.
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
• Build zero-trust access to internal/external systems and partner with Security on policy-as-code.
