Job summary

Commure is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Infrastructure team to own foundational infrastructure and the internal developer platform used by all engineering teams.

You will design, build, and operate multi-product infrastructure on public clouds and on-prem environments, with Terraform-based provisioning, Kubernetes operators, and a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles.
• Experience building internal developer platforms.
• Proficient with public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Experience with IaC tools Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with Crossplane or Kubernetes operators.
• HIPAA/SOC 2 familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build internal developer platform with templates, self-serve tooling, CI/CD pipelines.
• Own cloud foundation as code using Terraform and Kubernetes controllers.
• Run Kubernetes fleet: lifecycle, upgrades, autoscaling, multi-cluster patterns.
• Design traffic network layer: service mesh, ingress, mTLS, routing, canary, circuit-breaking.
• Own release/deployment with Argo CD; implement GitOps workflows.
• Maintain observability stack: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, tracing & logs.
• Establish zero-trust access for internal/external systems and HIPAA/SOC2 alignment.
