Job summary

Collectors is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will design and ship internal platforms, pipelines, developer environments, and tooling to help product teams move from code to value quickly and safely.

Remote or hybrid candidates are considered, with onsite expectations for those within commuting distance. You will own end-to-end platform initiatives, strengthen infrastructure (Kubernetes, IaC, observability), and drive adoption with data.

Qualifications

5+ years building, shipping, and operating production software.
Cross-functional work across backend services, automation pipelines, and internal tools.
Fluent in Python or TypeScript; strong cloud infra experience (AWS).
Hands-on with AI-enabled tooling and automation in engineering workflows.
Able to navigate ambiguous problems and drive concrete outcomes.

Responsibilities

Build the paved path by designing, building, and operating internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines, dev environments, deployments, and shared services.
Create custom tooling to automate repetitive engineering workflows.
Prototype and productionize AI-assisted capabilities in engineering workflows.
Own end-to-end platform initiatives from discovery to adoption in ambiguous spaces.
Strengthen core infrastructure including Kubernetes, IaC, networking, and observability to improve reliability and cost-efficiency.
Drive adoption with telemetry and collaboration with product teams to guide what to build next.
Communicate with partner teams through clear design documents, runbooks, and postmortems.
