Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a senior software engineer for DTC’s Gateway/Service Mesh team. You will tackle API gateway concerns, cross-cluster service meshes, authentication/authorization, and large-scale Istio deployments across AWS accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bash, and CI/CD.
• 3+ years of cloud experience (AWS or Azure) or demonstrated ability to become expert.
• Familiarity with networking concepts in microservice architectures.
• 1+ year of experience with AI technologies.
• A passion for building developer tooling, automation, and platform solutions.
• Deliver high-quality results with iteration and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• You are a recognized subject matter expert for one or more production software systems and independently ship high-quality features.
• Create functional impact and drive clarity; define problems proactively.
• Devise solutions with limited information, adapting existing approaches.
• Operate with minimal oversight within the team’s SDLC; deliver high-quality results first time.
• Influence peers through code/design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Think about long-term health of code, monitoring, alerting, and documentation.
• Help newcomers and improve team mechanisms for efficiency.
