Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery in Bellevue, WA is seeking a senior software engineer to tackle API gateway concerns, cross-cluster service meshes, authentication/authorization, and large-scale Istio deployments across AWS accounts.

You will design workflows and processes in a collaborative team environment, using modern software development practices that emphasize testability, repeatability, and self-service automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bash, and CI/CD systems.
• 3+ years' experience with Cloud Technology (AWS or Azure preferred) or strong familiarity and demonstrated ability to become expert.
• Familiarity with networking concepts in microservice architectures.
• 1+ year experience with AI technologies.
• A passion for building developer tooling, automation, and platform solutions that will deliver improvements for our internal and public customers.
• You deliver high-quality results the first time and improve code, documentation, and results with each iteration. Your team trusts your work.

Responsibilities

• You are a recognized subject matter expert related to one or more production software systems.
• You create functional level impact and deliver more complex features. You also help drive clarity and define problems proactively.
• You devise solutions based on limited information and precedent to adapt existing approaches to resolve issues.
