Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a technically broad Staff Engineer to translate complex platform problems into scalable production systems. You will own CI/CD tooling, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation, influencing multiple teams and guiding architecture decisions.

You will mentor engineers, drive system design from whiteboard to runbook, and ensure reliable delivery across distributed services in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading complex systems architecture.
• Experience taking projects from problem statements to production.
• Cross‑team technical influence across engineering organizations.
• Excellent written communication and architecture diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical direction across delivery and deployment platform capabilities.
• Lead design‑to‑production on cross‑team initiatives.
• Own platform programs including resilience and disaster recovery planning for CI/CD.
• Build and evolve CI/CD tooling and self‑service interfaces.
• Establish operational excellence standards and incident playbooks.
• Mentor engineers and review designs and PRs.
• Represent the team in cross‑org forums and vendor relationships.
