Job summary

The Central Tech Developer Experience (DX) team at Yahoo builds and operates the core platform infrastructure powering software delivery at scale. You will lead end-to-end platform initiatives across CI/CD, artifact management, and GitOps deployments, while shaping enterprise templates and guardrails for safe AI adoption.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-team alignment, and deliver AI-augmented DX capabilities to improve developer productivity and pipeline reliability across Yahoo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering exp building production-quality internal developer platforms.
• Hands-on exp with production LLM/agentic AI workflows with guardrails and evaluation loops.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering and automated dev tools (Anthropic Claude via Bedrock, Copilot Enterprise).
• Deep CI/CD architecture, artifact management (Artifactory), and GitOps deployments (ArgoCD).
• Experience acting as a technical anchor, setting architectural direction and cross-team alignment.
• Strong technical writing: architecture RFCs, docs, and enterprise templates.

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Golden Paths: design and rollout of CI/CD, artifacts, and GitOps deployments.
• Agentic AI & Workflow Automation: deploy AI systems to generate, migrate, validate, and maintain configs at scale.
• AI Evaluation & Guardrails: create evaluation loops and guardrails for safe production AI.
• Governance & Enterprise Standards: define enterprise templates and scalable CI compute standards.
• AI-Augmented DX Enablement: drive AI-assisted code generation benchmarks and checks.
• Infrastructure & Security Alignment: embed security into CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: lead reviews and mentor senior engineers across teams.
• Product-Minded Platform Management: measure adoption, reliability, time-to-green, developer satisfaction.
