Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Intelligent Automation Platform team. Design, build, and operate production Task Agents and reusable platform capabilities at scale across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of hands-on software engineering in production SaaS or distributed systems.
• Strong fundamentals in software design, REST APIs, data structures, distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with Java/TypeScript/JavaScript or C#/.NET.
• Experience owning production systems end-to-end including observability and reliability.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC.
• Ability to design reusable platform capabilities and internal tooling.
• Strong written and verbal communication; mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, operate, and improve production platform capabilities and Task Agents end to end.
• Build reusable services, APIs, SDKs, automation components, and platform abstractions.
• Develop Task Agents across APIs, browser interfaces, and enterprise apps.
• Evolve platform capabilities for deterministic execution, self-healing, testing, and observability.
• Apply AI/LLMs where they improve development, recovery, or user experience.
• Design systems that scale, diagnose bottlenecks, and improve availability and cost.
• Own software beyond implementation including testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with users and product teams to prototype solutions and measure outcomes.
• Evaluate open-source, cloud services, AI models, and make build-vs-buy decisions.
• Mentor engineers through design discussions and code reviews.
