Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and sustainment of secure, scalable production software, with AI coding agents playing a central role across the data, service, and application layers.

You will orchestrate multiple agents, design an agentic development environment with prompts and CI/CD guardrails, and set standards for automated testing, security, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of software engineering experience with production AI-assisted development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Expert-level with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Experience with APIs, databases, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and sustainment of secure, scalable production software with AI agents.
• Orchestrate multiple agents and parallel workstreams with clear context and criteria.
• Design and maintain agentic development environment and CI/CD guardrails.
• Validate AI-generated code via automated testing, reviews, and HIPAA compliance.
• Lead integrations with third-party AI platforms and APIs while collaborating with PM and engineers.
• Advance engineering practices across automation, data modeling, and cloud-native delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers in prompting and architecture review across teams.
