Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Principal Engineer for DevEx in Finance to shape the developer platform. You will lead end-to-end platform initiatives, architect agentic AI and CI/CD integrations, and set governance across deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building internal developer platforms or CI/CD ecosystems.
• Experience architecting and operating production LLM/agentic AI automation workflows with guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end designer deployments of modern developer platform initiatives (CI/CD, artifacts, GitOps).
• Architect and deploy agentic AI systems for automatic config generation and deployment at scale.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and guardrails for AI-generated configurations.
• Define enterprise templates and reusable workflows at scale.
• Drive AI-assisted DX enablement and code-generation benchmarks across Yahoo.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Compliance to embed policy enforcement in pipelines.
• Chair design reviews and mentor senior engineers to raise platform standards.
• Treat initiatives as products and measure adoption, reliability, and developer satisfaction.
