Job summary

Yahoo's Central Tech Developer Experience (DX) team builds the core platform infrastructure powering software delivery across Yahoo. You will lead end-to-end platform initiatives, architect agentic AI automation, and establish governance and guardrails to securely scale deployment across thousands of engineers.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-team alignment, and contribute to enterprise templates and CI/CD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade internal developer platforms.
• Hands-on experience architecting, building, and operating production LLM or agentic AI automation workflows with guardrails and evaluation loops.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools (Anthropic Claude via Bedrock, GitHub Copilot Enterprise).
• Deep expertise in modern CI/CD architecture, pipeline design, artifact management (Artifactory), and GitOps-based deployments (ArgoCD).
• Demonstrated experience leading architectural direction and cross-team alignment across complex engineering domains.
• Strong technical writing skills with architecture RFCs and developer documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and rollout of modern developer platform initiatives across CI/CD and GitOps.
• Architect and deploy agentic AI systems that generate and manage deployment manifests at scale.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and guardrails for AI-generated configurations in production.
• Define enterprise templates and reusable workflows across the organization.
• Drive AI-assisted DX enablement and automated checks via GitHub Copilot.
• Partner with Security/Compliance to embed policy enforcement in pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and chair technical design reviews.
