Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in DevEx (Finance) to own and advance the core developer platform. You will lead CI/CD modernization, automate pipelines, and drive AI-assisted workflows across the ecosystem, enabling fast, reliable software delivery.

You will collaborate with squads, build reusable templates, and improve observability while guiding migration efforts and tooling adoption.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
5+ years as software or platform engineer with CI/CD focus.
Hands-on with enterprise CI/CD platforms and reusable workflows.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding.
Familiar with artifact management (Artifactory) and release patterns.
Ability to own and deliver squad-level software features or migrations.
Strong technical writing for playbooks, API docs, and migration guides.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver key platform initiatives across CI/CD modernization, artifact management, and GitOps rollouts.
Use AI tooling (Copilot, Anthropic Claude) to generate, refactor, and test CI/CD assets.
Inspect and validate AI-assisted configurations and ensure production correctness and security.
Build reusable pipeline templates and clear developer documentation for golden paths.
Support artifact publish/consume patterns and CI compute optimizations.
Serve as primary technical contact during platform rollouts and gather feedback.
Instrument automation with telemetry and monitor time-to-green, flakiness, and reliability.
