Job summary

Deloitte seeks an experienced Platform Engineer Consultant to join our AI & Engineering team in a long-term, on-site client delivery role. You will blend data engineering, AI orchestration, and cloud infrastructure to build production-grade data pipelines and AI agents.

Role emphasizes hands-on Databricks, PySpark development, LangChain/LangGraph agent design, and Azure security. Travel about 10% may be required; collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Databricks experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Demonstrated experience building at least one end-to-end AI agent.
• Practical knowledge of LLM orchestration concepts.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LangFuse or comparable tools.
• Solid Azure cloud experience, particularly Storage Accounts and Key Vault.
• Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience deploying/managing workloads on Kubernetes.
• Willingness to travel ~10% and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Databricks clusters, jobs, and workflows.
• Optimize costs with cluster sizing and auto-scaling strategies.
• Tune Spark queries and Delta Lake performance.
• Automate platform usage via Databricks REST API and SDKs.
• Design, build, and deploy AI agents end-to-end.
• Call and orchestrate LLMs and tool use.
• Instrument agent behavior with observability tools.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize AI-driven features.
• Design and manage Azure storage and security components.
• Develop IaC with Terraform and deploy on Kubernetes.
