Job summary

Databricks Forward Deployed Engineer role delivering production-grade data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This hands-on, customer-facing position requires adaptability, curiosity, and a passion for solving complex problems with measurable outcomes. You will work with engineering, product, and customer teams to maximize value for clients.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Spark.
• Knowledge of CI/CD for production deployments.
• Familiar with ML/AI models, MLOps, and AI APIs.
• Ability to design and deploy production-grade data architectures and apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead production solution delivery with reference architectures and data ingestion and ML/AI model integration.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impactful outcomes.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and feedback loops.
