Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking an seasoned Sr. Platform Data Engineer to design, deploy, and run the core data infrastructure that powers our analytics ecosystem.

You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform, sitting at the intersection of infrastructure and data engineering. The role requires 8+ years in infra and data engineering, advanced Python, Airflow, Superset, and cloud/IaC expertise.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or Green Card).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in infra and data engineering.
• 5+ years of Python programming.
• Expert Apache Airflow deployment and administration.
• Experience with Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud experience across AWS/GCP/Azure/OCI including IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.
• DBT and OpenMetadata knowledge.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Data security and compliance experience.
• Experience applying AI to improve workflows and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and administer core platform tooling (Airflow, Superset).
• Manage IaC for data platform components (Terraform).
• Build/maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance.
• Develop data models using DBT and catalog assets in OpenMetadata.
• Write Python for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
