Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Sr. Platform Data Engineer to architect and operate the core data infrastructure for its analytics ecosystem. You will own the reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform, deploying Airflow and Superset in production and building robust pipelines.

You will mentor engineers, implement security controls, and collaborate across teams to leverage DBT, OpenMetadata, and AI-driven improvements. Remote-friendly, US-citizenship or GC required.

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card for CJIS eligibility.
• 8+ years combined infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming experience.
• Expert Airflow deployment and administration knowledge.
• Strong experience with Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure or OCI including IAM.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency with Terraform.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes or Docker in production.
• DBT and OpenMetadata experience for data modeling and cataloging.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience applying AI technologies to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate core data infrastructure and platform services.
• Own reliability, scalability, and performance of CrowdStrike's analytics platform.
• Deploy and administer Airflow and Superset in production environments.
• Manage IaC for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Develop data models and catalog assets using DBT and OpenMetadata.
• Write efficient Python code for automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
