Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, seeks a Sr. Platform Data Engineer to architect and operate the core data infrastructure behind our analytics ecosystem.

You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform, collaborating with Infra and Data Eng teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Responsibilities include implementing Airflow and Superset in production, IaC with Terraform, CI/CD for data workloads, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or Green Card).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration.
• Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI including IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.
• Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making and automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow and Superset in production environments.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata.
• Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
