Job summary
Altana is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to be the technical authority for the platform powering our AI‑driven product network. You will shape architecture across AWS and Azure, owning reference patterns for a multi-tenant, regulated, and sovereign environment.
You will join the Platform Engineering leadership, drive forums, RFCs, and reviews, and mentor engineers while collaborating with security, compliance, and finance to align strategy with product outcomes.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years building and operating cloud platforms.
- Strong ownership of platform architecture across teams.
- Production experience in multi-account AWS/Azure environments.
Responsibilities
- Drive cross-team architectural decisions and create platform reference architecture.
- Lead multi-cloud provisioning, IAM, and security patterns.
- Define IaC and GitOps standards across the estate.
- Mentor engineers and participate in hiring for senior roles.
- Prototype hard platform components and de-risk directions.
