Altana, the trusted trade network, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the regulated environments group (FedRAMP-compliant) across AWS/Azure. You will guide architecture, automation, and release tooling while coordinating with Security, Compliance, and product teams.

Expect a hands-on leadership approach with a distributed team across time zones. You will own planning, cost controls, and audit readiness, while mentoring engineers and shaping the engineering culture.

Competenze

• 8+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure in production.
• Experience delivering into regulated government environments (e.g., FedRAMP).
• Strong ownership of performance, growth, and hiring.

Mansioni

• Own the architecture and operation of regulated environments across AWS and Azure, including IaC and release tooling.
• Lead standardization of environment builds into a reusable blueprint.
• Ensure design reviews and RFCs maintain high quality and security posture.
• Stay hands-on with engineering of tooling and greenfield projects.
• Collaborate with Security and Compliance to embed secure-by-default patterns.
• Maintain accreditations, vulnerability remediation and data handling within SLAs.
• Support critical infrastructure with high SLAs and multi-region HA setups.
• Represent the team in audits and customer-facing security discussions.
• Own planning processes and provide realistic go-live commitments.
• Develop runbooks, documentation, capacity planning, on-call coverage, and incident response.
• Own cost management and reporting for environments.
• Translate accreditation constraints into actionable planning for product and commercial teams.
• Foster cross-team collaboration and effective written communication across distributed teams.
• Lead and grow engineers, managing performance and career development.
• Manage a distributed team across multiple time zones.
• Participate in hiring and recruiting to build a strong pipeline.
