Job summary

BILL seeks a Senior Staff Technical Delivery Manager embedded in our Platform, AI, and Infrastructure engineering org. This role partners with engineering leadership to understand the roadmap, influence technical decisions, and translate complex advances into business implications.

You will drive program execution, communicate progress to product, finance, and executives, and maintain disciplined planning cycles.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical program management, software engineering, or related field with leadership of cross-functional programs.
• Strong command of SDLC and delivery across agile/hybrid models.
• Technical systems mindset with ability to understand complex software architectures.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication for executive audiences.
• Ability to influence across engineering, product, finance and leadership.
• Experience using AI tooling to reduce overhead while preserving fidelity.
• Expert level knowledge of productivity and work management tooling.
• Experience with OKR setting in multi-team environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an org-wide view of initiatives, priorities, and delivery risks; act as operational partner to VP of Engineering for Platform, AI, and Infrastructure.
• Lead execution on high-priority, complex programs including infra investments and AI/ML development cycles.
• Identify blockers and misalignments early; provide clear recommended paths forward.
• Collaborate with engineering leads on technical decisions impacting product, timeline or organization.
• Translate progress and risks into clear communication for product, finance, and executives.
• Establish operating cadences: planning cycles, program reviews, status reporting; favor signal over noise.
• Use AI tools and program management platforms to keep overhead lean without losing focus.
