BILL is building the data platform that underpins our AI and fintech initiatives. We seek a leader who can design and operate large-scale data infrastructure, mentor engineers, and partner with analytics, ML, Risk, and payments to deliver durable platform solutions.

You will drive architecture, implement end-to-end data workflows, and raise the bar for reliability, cost efficiency, and developer experience across the BILL data stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in data engineering or software with a data infra focus.
• 5+ years on data platform, data infrastructure, or data systems teams.
• Expert-level SQL and strong Python, with CI/CD and observability.

Responsibilities

• Drive platform-wide architectural decisions.
• Own end-to-end data lifecycle infrastructure across ingest to serving.
• Define technical direction for cross-cutting problems like streaming vs batch.
• Deliver new capabilities from inception to GA with reference implementations and SLAs.
• Mentor senior engineers and shape engineering quality across BILL.
• Collaborate with ML/AI, Risk, Payments, and Analytics teams to translate needs.
