AbbVie, based in North Chicago, Illinois, seeks a Senior Principal Engineer, Plastics Molding, to provide enterprise-level leadership in injection and blow molding for pharmaceutical manufacturing, devices, biologics, and related products. The role collaborates across stakeholders and suppliers in a regulated environment.

Qualificações

• 8–10 years of significant engineering and/or operational experience in regulated industries.
• 3+ years of plastic injection molding and/or blow molding design and process support.
• Experience with molding equipment, resins, tooling, inspection procedures, SPC analysis, and ISO requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead medium- to large-sized molding projects from concept through qualification and sustained support.
• Develop and implement injection- and blow-molding solutions meeting product, process, quality, cost, and regulatory expectations.
• Provide technical direction on equipment, tooling, automation, resin selection, process development, inspection strategy, and manufacturing readiness.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage life-cycle costs, and communicate recommendations and status to management.
• Support supplier selection, performance, and issue resolution for molds, equipment, and services.
