Job summary

The Recruiting Hive seeks a Plant Engineer for our Wilson, North Carolina site. You will lead the maintenance and engineering department, drive equipment reliability, and oversee capital projects that minimize downtime and safeguard food safety and environmental standards.

You will implement advanced maintenance strategies (Preventive/Predictive Maintenance, TPM) and guide a team to ensure peak plant performance and innovative technology projects in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated team management or project leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning and adaptability.
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation).
• Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM.

Responsibilities

• Own capital projects from concept to completion, managing scope, schedule and budget.
• Lead maintenance system development including Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and TPM.
• Manage maintenance team, delegate tasks, enforce policies and guide work assignments.
• Provide short-term fixes and long-term solutions to operational challenges.
• Develop and track KPIs for maintenance performance and equipment reliability.
