Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Plant Engineer in Wilson, NC to lead a fast-paced maintenance and engineering department within a state-of-the-art food manufacturing environment.

You will drive capital projects from concept to completion, implement advanced maintenance systems, and lead a team to ensure peak production with strict safety and quality standards. Strong leadership and technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated team management or project leadership experience.
• High level leadership, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning and adaptability.
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering).
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM.

Responsibilities

• Own capital projects from concept to completion, managing schedule, budget, and safety standards.
• Develop and implement maintenance systems like Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, to maximize uptime.
• Manage the maintenance team, delegate tasks, enforce policies and guide work assignments.
• Provide short-term fixes and long-term solutions for operational challenges and equipment reliability.
• Develop and track KPIs to measure maintenance performance and drive continuous improvement.
