Job summary

Hitachi Energy’s Grid Automation team is seeking a Senior Planner to develop and maintain detailed project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to turn project data into actionable insights, enabling risk mitigation and performance forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Candidate must already have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in project planning and controls.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 project scheduling software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Deltek Acumen.
• Knowledge of CPM, EVA, and schedule risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience managing schedules for large and complex projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, customers, and stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Experience presenting project status, forecasts, and planning information to management and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
• Coordinate and manage planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
• Monitor schedule performance through earned value management and forecasting techniques.
• Integrate cost and schedule information to support comprehensive project reporting.
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather progress information and maintain accurate project updates.
• Prepare dashboards, schedule metrics, and executive-level reports for project stakeholders.
• Support change management activities and claims evaluation through time impact assessments.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
