Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC. is seeking a senior Planner to develop and maintain detailed project schedules for large energy infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate planning across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring accurate progress and informed decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires 8–10 years of experience, mastery of PrimaveraP6, and familiarity with MS Project, Excel, PowerBI, and Deltek Acumen.

Qualifications

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in project planning and controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using PrimaveraP6 and other planning tools.
• Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
• Monitor schedule performance using earned value management and forecasting techniques.
• Integrate cost and schedule information to support comprehensive project reporting.
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather progress updates and maintain data accuracy.
• Prepare dashboards, schedule metrics, and executive-level reports for stakeholders.
• Support change management and claims evaluation through time impact assessments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
