Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY seeks a Sr. Planner/Buyer for development programs.

This role focuses on end-to-end planning and procurement for one-off or prototype projects, collaborating with engineers to source materials, manage long-lead times, and coordinate with outside processors. Reports to the Development Process Manager and is on-site on first shift. You will analyze drawings, maintain schedules, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery while upholding Moog's standards and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years experience
• Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years experience
• Technical skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems; Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Soft skills: Strong communication and organizational skills; Sense of urgency

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings and BOMs to determine material and tooling requirements for new programs
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules to meet milestones
• Monitor and report status of development jobs to Program Managers and customers
• Source and purchase specialty components according to project specifications
• Manage Outside Processing (OSP) purchase orders, including tracking and expediting parts
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to meet budgets and deadlines
• Resolve supplier non-conformances with Quality and Supplier Development Engineering Team
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain data integrity for development parts
• Identify and mitigate risks with long-lead items or single-source suppliers
