Job summary

Moog Inc. seeks an Associate Buyer/Planner Analyst to join the Buffalo, NY area. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate production materials across Moog facilities to meet customer commitments and ensure on‑time delivery.

Role involves analyzing demand, maintaining PBOMs, and supporting cross‑functional teams with inventory management and capacity planning. Strong Excel and SAP order-entry skills are essential; APICS credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience; a 2-year degree with 5+ years is also considered.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of planning, production control, supply chain, inventory management, or operations.
• APICS or other certifications are a plus.
• Planning, operations, manufacturing, or technical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain planning parameters in line with material strategies and demand profiles.
• Convert demand signals into work orders per established planning processes.
• Monitor shortages and supplier lead times; mitigate risks to schedules.
• Develop achievable, balanced production plans aligned with demand and capacity.
• Perform capacity analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Escalate schedule impacts, material constraints, and delivery risks as needed.
• Maintain PBOMs based on changing demand requirements.
• Construct and maintain Line of Balance analyses; monitor progress.
• Support audits and inventory reviews involving customer-owned inventory.
• Manage WIP within planner codes and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Provide work center scheduling support and clear-to-build updates.
• Coordinate material movement across Moog facilities; IPO/OSP escalation.
• Enter and maintain SAP Sales Orders accurately and timely.
• Support overall production control and material planning for customer commitments.
