Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking an Associate Buyer/Planner Analyst in Buffalo, NY, to drive production planning, material flow, and scheduling with cross-functional teams. You will convert demand into work orders, monitor lead times, and optimize inventory to meet customer commitments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering, requiring strong Excel skills, attention to regulatory details, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience; 2-year degree with 5+ years considered.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of planning, production control, supply chain, inventory management, or operations is preferred.
• APICS or similar certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain planning parameters aligned with material strategies and demand profiles.
• Convert demand signals into work orders per established planning processes.
• Monitor material shortages and supplier lead times to mitigate risks to production.
• Develop achievable, balanced production plans based on demand and capacity.
• Perform capacity analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Escalate schedule impacts and material constraints as needed.
• Manage WIP and maintain optimal inventory levels within planner codes.
• Assist in PBOM maintenance and Line of Balance analyses.
• Support audits and inventory reviews involving customer-owned inventory.
