Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural, engineering or construction field or credentials showing completion of a certified skilled trade apprenticeship.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architectural, engineering, or construction industry.
• Experience conducting detailed plan reviews, site inspections and preparing related reports.
• Knowledge of building systems, construction methods, materials, building standards, building codes, life safety, and accessibility.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and software programs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Review design and construction plans for construction and renovation projects to verify compliance with university design standards, constructability, biddability, and applicable codes.
• Travel on- and off-campus to perform field verifications of existing conditions to inform plan reviews.
• Participate in meetings and training to maintain expertise and consult with peers and subject matter experts.
