Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to take technical ownership of fluid subsystems for a development program. You will design, analyze, and specify high-pressure piping systems, and collaborate with internal and external teams to drive manufacturing readiness.

Expect travel up to 20% and a focus on safety, quality, and lifecycle management within a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical) is required.

Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of fluid subsystems.
• Perform fluid sizing analysis for complex pressurized piping systems.
• Select components and generate specifications.
• Work with internal and external production organizations to resolve challenges in manufacturing or procurement of fluid systems.
• Work with operations team to fabricate, install, activate, and operate fluid systems.
• Ensure operations and maintenance activities align with design intent and requirements.
• Collaborate with designers and configuration managers to establish product structures and configuration control.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for cost and schedule effective sourcing.
• Up to 20% travel to other Blue Origin sites.
