Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking an engineer to design and develop ground-based fluid piping systems for a development program. You will own fluid subsystems through their complete life cycle, including design, analysis, manufacturing support, testing, data review, and maintenance.

The role requires a strong background in fluid design, familiarity with codes, and travel up to 20%. A BS in engineering and 2+ years in related sectors are required; MS preferred for advanced work.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Nuclear or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in aerospace or similar sectors.
• Experience in design and development of pressurized piping architectures.
• Strong technical fundamentals with fluid system sizing and layout.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and related codes.
• Experience generating P&IDs and related docs.

Responsabilités

• Own fluid subsystems, from concept through operation.
• Perform sizing analyses for complex pressurized piping.
• Select components and write specifications.
• Collaborate with production to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Work with operations to fabricate, install, activate, and operate fluid systems.
• Ensure maintenance activities align with design intent.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for sourcing costs and schedules.
