Blue Origin LLC seeks an experienced piping engineer to lead design and analysis of piping systems for space vehicle launch facilities. You will own piping stress analyses, guide design iterations, and ensure compliance with ASME B31.3 standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive risk mitigation across multiple projects, focusing on high pressure gas and cryogenic piping systems.

Qualifications

• Four-year aerospace or mechanical engineering degree (or similar).
• 7+ years in a technical engineering role with progression of responsibility.
• Extensive piping stress analyses with AutoPIPE; technical reviewer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping and tubing analyses for launch complex GSE and test facilities.
• Develop and maintain piping analyses across full design lifecycle.
• Define and enforce analysis standards and best practices.
• Lead peer reviews and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers in piping analysis tools and code applications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
