Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced engineer to design and develop ground-based fluid piping systems for a development program. You will own the complete life cycle from definition through operation, including design, analysis, manufacturing support, testing, data review, and maintenance.

Responsibilities include high‑pressure storage, pneumatics, and related systems with travel to Blue Origin sites. The role demands a strong fluid design background, familiarity with relevant standards (ASME B31.3,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a similar sector (aerospace, petrochemical, power).
• Experience in design and development of pressurized piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of fluid subsystems.
• Perform fluid sizing analysis for complex piping systems.
• Select components and generate specifications.
• Coordinate with production to resolve manufacturing or procurement challenges.
• Support fabrication, installation, activation, and operation of fluid systems.
• Ensure operations align with design intents and requirements.
• Collaborate to establish product structures and configuration control.
• Work with Supply Chain for cost and schedule effective sourcing.
• Up to 20% travel to other Blue Origin sites.
