Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a senior Piping Engineer to lead technical direction on piping analysis projects. You will review complex calculations, approve designs, and coordinate interfaces between disciplines on hybrid work assignments with in-office days three per week.

The role requires a BS/MS in a relevant field, a P.E. license, 10+ years of experience with ASME B31.1 and B&PV Section III, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• P.E. license required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of pipe supporting elements design and application.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior technical direction and supervision to project team members.
• Reviews complex calculations and approves simple calculations; ensures compliance with project requirements.
• Reviews and approves simple and complex system/structural designs and related drawings.
• Prepares and reviews major system, installation, and material specifications.
• Prepares bid evaluations and participates in vendor negotiations.
• Reviews single-discipline and multi-discipline reports to ensure quality and clarity.
