Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Piping Engineering & Analysis professional to lead technical work on complex piping projects. The role involves directing a project team, coordinating interfaces among disciplines, and ensuring design and calculations meet client and code requirements.

You will apply ASME B31.1 and B&PV Section III knowledge, supervise design activities, and contribute to reports and vendor interactions. A hybrid schedule is expected with in-office work several days weekly.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• P.E. license.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of pipe supporting elements.
• Working knowledge of piping products and their applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review complex calculations and approve simpler ones.
• Provide technical guidance to project team members.
• Review and approve system/structural designs and drawings for quality and operability.
• Prepare and review major system, installation, and material specifications.
• Prepare bid evaluations and participate in vendor negotiations.
• Contribute to multi-discipline reports and project deliverables.
