Job summary

ADM seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer in Decatur, IL to lead piping system design, development, and project management for various industrial projects. The role includes coordinating with clients and disciplines, reviewing P&IDs and isometrics, and ensuring safety and technical compliance.

The candidate will guide teams, manage budgets and schedules, and stay current with industry trends and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Current PE license, or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and FEA programs; PIPE-FLOW, Codeware Inspect, AutoPipe.
• Significant experience with ASME, ANSI, API, PIP standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of piping systems for industrial projects.
• Perform engineering calculations to ensure integrity and safety of piping systems and vessels.
• Develop and review P&IDs, isometrics, and other technical docs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and clients for seamless execution.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and compliance with design specs.
