Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Lead Piping Field Engineer for a major semiconductor plant project in New Albany, OH. You will direct piping field engineers, supervise field verification, and ensure safety and quality control across field activities.

You will interpret drawings, manage material verification, coordinate with project controls, and lead integration with other discipline leads to meet schedule and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree in engineering and 8–14 years of relevant field experience.
• Experience leading piping field engineering teams on large projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, welding, testing and field construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative direction to piping field engineers and craftsmen.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer on design deliverables and constructability issues.
• Lead ES&H and quality control program implementation within piping discipline.
• Oversee field inspections and ensure turnover documentation is complete.
• Develop piping work packages and assist in detailed work plans and schedules.
• Prepare requisitions for field materials and equipment; approve as delegated.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement for timely material delivery.
• Interface with other discipline leads to meet project requirements and turnover.
• Ensure field changes are documented and as-built records updated.
