Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a Project Field Engineer to provide field engineering specialization, planning, material management, and quality control for LNG facilities.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, review ITPs, RFIs, and NCRs, and ensure safety, compliance, and timely turnover of system packages. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–12 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant construction experience.
• Demonstrated ES&H commitment and zero-accident principles.
• Experience with field surveying, piping, hydrotesting and welding.
• Ability to read drawings, schedules, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of PTRs, RFIs, FCDs, NCRs workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings and sketches.
• Plan construction methods and procedures.
• Initiate field purchase requisitions.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for field materials.
• Verify quantities in tracking systems.
• Coordinate inspection plans and subcontract submittals.
• Ensure safety and quality control on site.
• Support system turnover and package development.
