Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a skilled field engineer for LNG plant projects along the US Gulf Coast. The role involves work planning, material management, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with project requirements across multiple sites including Brownsville, Lake Charles, and Port Arthur.

The ideal candidate will have strong piping experience, ASME B31.3 knowledge, and readiness for future mobility within Bechtel’s Global Business Units.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience on heavy industrial construction sites is preferred.
• Knowledge of piping codes and construction methods is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches; helps plan construction methods.
• Initiates field requisitions for purchases and materials.
• Verifies quantities in tracking systems and field buys.
• Ensures safety and quality control in the field per project standards.
• Supports continuous learning and skill development.
• Develops understanding of system scope for package development.
• Reviews inspection test plans and coordinates subcontractor submittals.
