Vertiv seeks an experienced Piping Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership for piping systems within High Density Liquid Cooling. You will set standards, support delivery teams, and drive robust, compliant engineering outcomes across concept through commissioning.

The role emphasizes stainless steel and composite piping, specialist components, and design governance to reduce risk and rework. Collaboration with suppliers and site teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Familiarity with piping codes and standards (ASME B31, PED).
• Experience with stainless steel and composite piping in clean environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for piping systems, materials, and components.
• Develop and maintain piping standards, specifications, and design guidance.
• Review drawings, calculations, and material selections.
• Support project teams through design, procurement, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with ASME and PED requirements.
• Lead technical investigations and continuous improvement activities.
• Engage with suppliers, manufacturing, and site teams to ensure design intent.
• Mentor and guide broader engineering teams.
• Drive initiatives with speed, precision, and discipline.
