Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Project Engineer to lead High Density Liquid Cooling (HDLC) and Integrated Solutions installation projects across the United States. You will manage the technical execution from procurement to commissioning, guiding installation teams to meet quality and safety standards.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering background with 3+ years of related experience, ability to read drawings and P&IDs, and up to 50% travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical/ project engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of thermal dynamics and heat transfer.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and construction documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead on liquid cooling and IS installation projects from planning through commissioning.
• Lead installation of Vertiv CDUs, SFN manifolds, Rear Door Heat Exchangers, SmartRow 2 and VACS systems.
• Develop and manage Bills of Material (BOMs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Perform pre-installation site walks to assess readiness and validate design assumptions.
• Provide hands-on technical assistance to installation crews and resolve issues.
• Create and maintain project documentation and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Vertiv standards, client requirements, and codes.
• Collaborate with Project Management to monitor schedules and report progress.
• Maintain safety compliance and OSHA regulations on sites.
• Support commissioning activities to ensure systems are tested and handed over successfully.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, Quality, and Field Engineering for profitability.
