Job summary

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Server Liquid Systems at Vertiv Corporation leads the design, development, and testing of advanced liquid cooling hardware, including processor cold plates, RDHX, and manifolds, for new product development and customer-specific solutions.

You will create detailed Creo models and drawings, support CFD/FEA, engage with suppliers, and work with manufacturing during prototypes and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 18+ years of mechanical design experience in thermal–mechanical and fluid cooling hardware.
• Familiarity with data center cooling technologies and ASHRAE guidelines.
• Creo modeling proficiency and ability to create 3D models and drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication; works independently in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design cold plates, RDHX assemblies, manifolds, piping systems, and liquid distribution components.
• Develop microchannel geometries optimized for pressure drop and heat transfer.
• Support CFD and FEA analyses for cooling components.
• Create, maintain BOMs; produce drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support manufacturing during builds.
• Lead supplier engagements and CAD reviews.
• 3D printing prototype parts.
