Job summary

Vertiv Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for Server Liquid Systems to design, analyze, and test advanced thermal-mechanical cooling solutions including cold plates, RDHX, manifolds, and piping.

You will develop 3D models in Creo, support CFD/FEA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into manufacturable designs. Responsibilities include creating BOMs, supporting prototyping and production, and engaging suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design involving thermal-mechanical solutions, fluid systems, or cooling hardware.
• Familiarity with data center cooling technologies and ASHRAE guidelines preferred.
• Proficient modeling in Creo and the ability to read/produce drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication; independent initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design cold plates, RDHX assemblies, manifolds, piping systems and liquid distribution components for new product development.
• Develop microchannel geometries optimized for pressure drop and heat transfer, ensuring manufacturability.
• Provide CFD/FEA support for channel design and structural integrity.
• Create detailed 3D models and assemblies in Creo with drawings and design intent.
• Prepare BOMs, support prototypes and production, and collaborate with suppliers.
