Job summary

Day & Zimmermann in Greenville, SC seeks a Piping Engineer 4 to lead complex piping design, analysis, and development on high-impact projects. You will apply advanced expertise in piping stress analysis, support design, specs, and specialty components to drive project quality and safety.

As a technical expert, you will mentor engineers, share knowledge of emerging technologies, and help strengthen piping practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of piping engineering experience.
• At least 8 years using 3D CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks).
• 5+ years of pipe stress analysis experience (Caesar II or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality piping design outputs and ANSI-aligned specs.
• Design pressure piping systems for new installations and upgrades.
• Perform piping stress analyses and safety evaluations.
• Lead conceptual studies including cost estimation and layout development.
• Mentor junior engineers and review calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve constructability issues.
