Day & Zimmermann's Greenville, SC, is seeking a Piping Engineer 4 to lead complex piping design and stress analysis for high-impact projects. You will develop ANSI-aligned specifications, design piping systems for new installs and upgrades, and supervise vendor packages to ensure reliability and safety.

You will mentor junior engineers, share knowledge of advanced engineering tools, and drive cross-functional collaboration to improve project outcomes and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of professional piping engineering experience.
• 8+ years using 3D CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Plant3D, Revit, Navisworks).
• 5+ years using pipe stress analysis software (Caesar II or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality piping design outputs with ANSI-aligned specifications.
• Design pressure piping systems for new installations and upgrades.
• Conduct piping stress analyses and safety evaluations for reliability.
• Lead conceptual studies including cost estimation and layout development.
• Supervise vendor equipment packages for nozzle loads and anchors.
• Mentor junior engineers in calculations and layouts.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve constructability issues.
