Job summary

Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Piping Designer to provide CAD drawings for maintenance and construction design packages, including walk-downs of process and utility piping systems for nuclear and non-nuclear projects.

Ideal candidates will have 3D modeling experience and familiarity with ASME B31.3/B31.1, piping codes (ASME, ASTM, AWWA), and related QA programs (NQA-1, 10 CFR 830.120).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; more for higher levels.
Knowledge of piping codes such as ASME, ASTM, AWWA, and QA programs like ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR 830.120.

Responsibilities

Provide CAD drawings for maintenance and construction design packages.
Perform walk-downs of process and utility piping systems for nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
Prepare P&IDs, piping drawings, construction drawings, and bills of material.
Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3/B31.1 and select piping components.
