Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS) in Oak Ridge, TN, is seeking a Piping Designer to provide CAD drawings for maintenance and construction design packages. The role requires 3D modeling and P&IDs, with ASME B31.3/B31.1 knowledge for nuclear and non-nuclear projects at Y-12.

Ideal candidates will have experience with 3D modeling, Smart Plant 3D, and the ability to work in an integrated project team on complex piping systems, including potable water, gas, acids, cryogenics, and boilers.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D modeling is required.
• Experience with Smart Plant 3D software is desirable.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and B31.1 Code compliance is required.
• Nuclear/DOE regulated environment experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drawings for maintenance and construction design packages.
• Perform walk-downs of process piping and utility piping systems.
• Prepare conceptual design and title II output documents including P&IDs, piping drawings, construction drawings, and bills of material.
• Support nuclear and non-nuclear projects at Y-12.
