Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security is seeking an engineer to provide piping design support for nuclear and non-nuclear projects at Y-12. The role includes design output documents, drawings, calculations, data sheets and tolerance specs, with testing support and BOM creation.

3D modeling and ASME B31 familiarity are valued for day-to-day tasks across multidisciplinary teams. The candidate may work on existing processes and startup support, with potential procurement, change control, and field support

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering/physical science degree required or equivalent.
• Graduate degrees (MS/PhD) are acceptable.
• GPA requirements and odds of progression are described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering, walk-downs and inspections for piping systems on nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
• Prepare design outputs including piping drawings, construction drawings, calculations, equipment data sheets and specs.
• Support testing, BOM preparation for cost and man-hour estimates, and procurement documents.
