Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's Transmission and Distribution Group in the Great Lakes Region is seeking a Pipeline Project Manager to lead pipeline and facility work for natural gas utilities and midstream operators in Chicago and/ or Downers Grove.

You will develop client relationships, oversee proposals and contracts, and serve as project lead coordinating with owners and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field with 7 years of experience.
• Experience on construction sites or in program management across relevant industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work overtime when needed.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all aspects of pipeline and facility work for natural gas utilities and midstream operators.
• Develop business relationships with clients and prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.
• Serve as the project point of contact with the Owner for coordination, planning, scope management and budgeting.
• Provide overall management of projects from concept to completion and monitor schedules, scope and costs.
• Report progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, and QA/QC compliance.
